Today was the first day of work. I had an 8 hour in-service so I got to take Rylynn to daycare because I didn't have to be there until 8. She woke up at 630, and was ready to go for the day!

I was glad when the day was over to go pick up my baby girl from daycare!!

October 28, 2012

Well, today is my last day home with my baby on maternity leave :( It is a sad day but I think I'm ready to get back out there and talk to adults during the day :D I know she is going to a good place for daycare so that makes it easier!

Yesterday we made Halloween cookies with my niece Mya and my sister-in-law Jen. Rylynn attempted to help!
 


Rylynn was pretty wore out from all the baking!

I also made her another headband, I'm pretty addicted to them because they are just soo cute!

October 21, 2012

This morning Rylynn and I got up and went to church. After church our friends Josh and Britt came over for lunch and we grilled. Rylynn was very talkative and really focused on mommy when Britt was holding her. After they left Rylynn and Daddy watched a little bit of the Vikings game while Mommy got things ready for our little photo shoot.
Our leaves were already brown ( plus Jeremy had mowed them up already) so we asked the neighbors if we could take some pictures in their leaves. Here are a few photos from the photo shoot.



Rylynn screamed when we tried to put her in the pumpkin without her jeans on, so we opted to try with the jeans and she seemed much more pleased with this. This was our 3rd attempt of pictures in the pumpkin and finally got some! She was all smiles but closes her eyes alot when she smiles so they are super hard to catch on camera.
She continues to love to smile at mommy and daddy and has started to babble a lot more! She successfully slept in her crib on night 2 with no real problems :D When she looses her nuk she just uses her hands to suck on. Mommy doesn't really want her to get used to that! ( I used to suck my finger as a child! very hard habit to break!)

October 20, 2012

Today we hung out at home and really didn't do a whole lot. Rylynn did not really feel the need to sleep much today, and only took 1/2 hr cat naps here and there. Jeremy and I went on a date to see the movie Pitch Perfect. Grandpa and Grandma Grausam watched Rylynn for us! The movie was super funny and it was good to get out! We are attempting to transition Rylynn from her bassinet to her crib. Tonight was night number one where it was going to happen! She did GREAT!! Grandma Grausam put her down around 1030 and she slept until 430am!!! I got up and fed her and then laid her right back down because she was super sleepy, we only had to get up a couple of times to give her her nuk back and she was back to sleep until 730am!! A couple of friends gave me the idea to put one of my shirts in the crib with her so I think that helped her and also her room is kinda cold so we put a little heater outside her door so her room stays warmer. Hopefully night number 2 works just as nice, because it is super hard for me to listen to her scream for a long period of time!

Today, I figured I would try and be productive and get the house cleaned before I head back to work ( I have 1 week left :( ) I also made a chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy. I am attempted to get better at cooking so when I go back to work I will keep it up so we can eat good home-cooked meals! Later in the evening Rylynn, my mom, and I attended my sister-in-laws' 31 party. Rylynn had fun, except she has really turned into a mommy's girl and cried sometimes if she was being held by someone else or if she couldn't hear me. She was all smiles and talking when we got home. The party must have wore her out because she slept from 1030 until 430, ate, and then from 5 to 830!

This morning was a pretty uneventful morning. Rylynn and I played on the floor and we read some books. We went to pick Madalyn up from school because we were driving her to Hutchinson to drop her off with my cousin Chelsea. After Madalyn finally got all of her stuff together and Mya was home from school we all piled into Jen and Mark's car.... We made it to Hutchinson around 445 and talked with my Aunt and cousin for a little while. We parted ways and Mya and I decided we would eat at Culvers before heading back to New Ulm. This is when all the trouble started.... We went through the drive through because Rylynn also needed to eat. So we sat in the car in the parking lot eating. As we were eating, the radio shut off... I though well maybe the radio station went dead, and we proceeded to eat. I fed Rylynn and put her back in her carseat and jumped in the drivers seat. I put the car in reverse and pushed the gas peddle to have all the gauges go to ZERO!! So I put the car in park and turned it off and tried to restart it....NOTHING!! So here I am in the culver's parking lot in the cold rainy weather with Rylynn and Mya in the car...in Hutchinson! ( On a worse note my phone had died before we left New Ulm so I was charging it on the way, but it was almost dead!) I called my mom to get my uncles number who lives in Hutchinson. Thank GOD he was home and was able to help! He came and tried to jump the car, and it started right up, but I tried to turn the lights on as it was getting dark...and the car died again! So we piled into his truck and he took the battery out so we could go get a new one. After getting the new battery my uncle was so kind to put it in for us! The car started right up and we were on our way...FINALLY! After going down the road a little ways into the country, I called my sister-in-law Jen and asked her if her lights were always that dim, she said "ya I think so, we are just so used to it." I proceeded to tell her I still think something was wrong with the car that I was going to go but to stay by the phone just in case. Well we made it back to New Ulm after feeling like I was driving in the dark blindly! Mark looked at the car the car and the alternator is bad :( needless to say I will not be driving any more of the Isenberg's cars!!

I think Rylynn got over being "mad" at me from leaving this weekend. The morning was a little rough as she didn't sleep well and was pretty tired and crabby. I also think she is somewhat coming down with a cold :( But she was much better by the evening and was all smiles, its so hard to capture her smiles on camera because as soon as you get the camera out she gets a straight face! We decided to try and take a few family pictures and I saw an idea on pinterest of her inside a pumpkin! We got a few family photos out at Jeremy's parent's house but they had already mowed up the leaves :( We tried the pumpkin idea but she was NOT having it! She screamed! We may try again another day when she is a little less tired. I will try and get Jeremy to put the pictures on the computer so I can post them!
