November 22,2012- HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had thanksgiving at my parent's house with my mom's side of the family! It was alot of fun with lots of people! It was nice because most of my aunts and uncles it was the first time meeting Rylynn! She didn't think she needed to nap there much because there was so much going on, but when she did she was OUT! I thought maybe that would mean she would sleep well that night but I was sadly mistaken. She got up multiple times, it was like she knew I wanted sleep so I could go out black friday shopping!

Novemeber 12, 2012

For the last 3 nights Rylynn has slept through the night! It has been very nice but I know it will not last!

Novemeber 11,2012- Pinterest day!

Today I decided that I was actually going to try some of the ideas off of pinterest. It was actually pretty fun, even though some of them did not turn out how I planned. My favorite of the day was the Christmas ornament.


We also used contact paper to print out Rylynn's name for her room.

I have not been very good about keeping up with this now that I am back at work. Not to much is new in the Walters' household. Rylynn turned 3 months on November 4th. She seems to be growing up so fast! She enjoys using her voice, playing with her toys, and of course her mommy :D She has been doing really well at daycare and I always love to pick her up and get really big smiles from her. It makes me feel like she is soooo glad to see me :D Today we are celebrating Thanksgiving with our friends! We have so much to be thankful for this year! It is so nice to be able to get together with friends now that our lives have become crazy with work and a baby. I am also going to set up some family pictures and Rylynn's 3 month pictures.Jeremy has a nice camera so it would have been nice to take them ourselves but we don't really have any good backdrops and its a getting to cold to be outside.

Today I finally have a day off! I was hoping Rylynn would let me sleep as this week it has been pretty hit and miss if she sleeps well at night. This is making it hard for me to want to go to work because I have to be there at 6 :(. Last night though she though she needed to be up every 2 hours, so it made for another long night. I am excited to get to spend the day snuggling and playing with my little girl!

Halloween 2012

Rylynn went to daycare as a cat, but we put her real costume on after daycare!  She dressed up as my cute little lady bug! She didn't even hate the costume as much as I thought she would!
we didn't get very many good pictures of her in it because jeremy's family came over to eat and see eachother's costumes so she was pre-occupied with that. So I decided I will put her back in it on Friday when I have off and take some good pictures :D

Today was the first day of work. I had an 8 hour in-service so I got to take Rylynn to daycare because I didn't have to be there until 8. She woke up at 630, and was ready to go for the day!

Well, today is my last day home with my baby on maternity leave :( It is a sad day but I think I'm ready to get back out there and talk to adults during the day :D I know she is going to a good place for daycare so that makes it easier!

Yesterday we made Halloween cookies with my niece Mya and my sister-in-law Jen. Rylynn attempted to help!

I also made her another headband, I'm pretty addicted to them because they are just soo cute!

October 21, 2012

This morning Rylynn and I got up and went to church. After church our friends Josh and Britt came over for lunch and we grilled. Rylynn was very talkative and really focused on mommy when Britt was holding her. After they left Rylynn and Daddy watched a little bit of the Vikings game while Mommy got things ready for our little photo shoot.
Our leaves were already brown ( plus Jeremy had mowed them up already) so we asked the neighbors if we could take some pictures in their leaves. Here are a few photos from the photo shoot.



Rylynn screamed when we tried to put her in the pumpkin without her jeans on, so we opted to try with the jeans and she seemed much more pleased with this. This was our 3rd attempt of pictures in the pumpkin and finally got some! She was all smiles but closes her eyes alot when she smiles so they are super hard to catch on camera.
She continues to love to smile at mommy and daddy and has started to babble a lot more! She successfully slept in her crib on night 2 with no real problems :D When she looses her nuk she just uses her hands to suck on. Mommy doesn't really want her to get used to that! ( I used to suck my finger as a child! very hard habit to break!)

October 20, 2012

Today we hung out at home and really didn't do a whole lot. Rylynn did not really feel the need to sleep much today, and only took 1/2 hr cat naps here and there. Jeremy and I went on a date to see the movie Pitch Perfect. Grandpa and Grandma Grausam watched Rylynn for us! The movie was super funny and it was good to get out! We are attempting to transition Rylynn from her bassinet to her crib. Tonight was night number one where it was going to happen! She did GREAT!! Grandma Grausam put her down around 1030 and she slept until 430am!!! I got up and fed her and then laid her right back down because she was super sleepy, we only had to get up a couple of times to give her her nuk back and she was back to sleep until 730am!! A couple of friends gave me the idea to put one of my shirts in the crib with her so I think that helped her and also her room is kinda cold so we put a little heater outside her door so her room stays warmer. Hopefully night number 2 works just as nice, because it is super hard for me to listen to her scream for a long period of time!

Today, I figured I would try and be productive and get the house cleaned before I head back to work ( I have 1 week left :( ) I also made a chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy. I am attempted to get better at cooking so when I go back to work I will keep it up so we can eat good home-cooked meals! Later in the evening Rylynn, my mom, and I attended my sister-in-laws' 31 party. Rylynn had fun, except she has really turned into a mommy's girl and cried sometimes if she was being held by someone else or if she couldn't hear me. She was all smiles and talking when we got home. The party must have wore her out because she slept from 1030 until 430, ate, and then from 5 to 830!

October 17, 2012

This morning was a pretty uneventful morning. Rylynn and I played on the floor and we read some books. We went to pick Madalyn up from school because we were driving her to Hutchinson to drop her off with my cousin Chelsea. After Madalyn finally got all of her stuff together and Mya was home from school we all piled into Jen and Mark's car.... We made it to Hutchinson around 445 and talked with my Aunt and cousin for a little while. We parted ways and Mya and I decided we would eat at Culvers before heading back to New Ulm. This is when all the trouble started.... We went through the drive through because Rylynn also needed to eat. So we sat in the car in the parking lot eating. As we were eating, the radio shut off... I though well maybe the radio station went dead, and we proceeded to eat. I fed Rylynn and put her back in her carseat and jumped in the drivers seat. I put the car in reverse and pushed the gas peddle to have all the gauges go to ZERO!! So I put the car in park and turned it off and tried to restart it....NOTHING!! So here I am in the culver's parking lot in the cold rainy weather with Rylynn and Mya in the car...in Hutchinson! ( On a worse note my phone had died before we left New Ulm so I was charging it on the way, but it was almost dead!) I called my mom to get my uncles number who lives in Hutchinson. Thank GOD he was home and was able to help! He came and tried to jump the car, and it started right up, but I tried to turn the lights on as it was getting dark...and the car died again! So we piled into his truck and he took the battery out so we could go get a new one. After getting the new battery my uncle was so kind to put it in for us! The car started right up and we were on our way...FINALLY! After going down the road a little ways into the country, I called my sister-in-law Jen and asked her if her lights were always that dim, she said "ya I think so, we are just so used to it." I proceeded to tell her I still think something was wrong with the car that I was going to go but to stay by the phone just in case. Well we made it back to New Ulm after feeling like I was driving in the dark blindly! Mark looked at the car the car and the alternator is bad :( needless to say I will not be driving any more of the Isenberg's cars!!

I think Rylynn got over being "mad" at me from leaving this weekend. The morning was a little rough as she didn't sleep well and was pretty tired and crabby. I also think she is somewhat coming down with a cold :( But she was much better by the evening and was all smiles, its so hard to capture her smiles on camera because as soon as you get the camera out she gets a straight face! We decided to try and take a few family pictures and I saw an idea on pinterest of her inside a pumpkin! We got a few family photos out at Jeremy's parent's house but they had already mowed up the leaves :( We tried the pumpkin idea but she was NOT having it! She screamed! We may try again another day when she is a little less tired. I will try and get Jeremy to put the pictures on the computer so I can post them!

October 12-14th

I went on a scrapbooking retreat this weekend. Rylynn got to stay home with daddy! He had lots of help from our nieces Madalyn and Mya and also my mom and sister-in-law Christa! That way he could also get some stuff done during the weekend. I had a really great time but missed Rylynn alot and was glad to see her when I got home. She on the other hand seemed mad at mommy! She screamed and would only stop if daddy was holding her! It was cute yet made me a little sad at the same time!

Today Rylynn got to visit some of my co-workers and I got my flu shot. (my arm is still sore :( ) After that we had lunch with auntie Jen and hung out while waiting for Jeremy to get off work. We met with our daycare provider tonight to have her meet Rylynn and also go over paperwork and scheduling. This went pretty well, but I am not sure that I'm ready to bring her to daycare yet! After that Jeremy went to a concert in Mankato with his brother, brother-in-law, and a friend, so we decided to go out and visit with auntie Christa and cousin Cole. Cole loved to see the baby! Next time I will have to be better and bring a camera to take pictures. He was so cute he would stick his head in her carseat and say "hi!" and pet her! Rylynn was not such a happer camper when we left, she cried pretty much the whole way home. She fell asleep right as I was coming up the hill to go home and is still sleeping now! Hopefully she sleeps well tonight!

Pinterest projects!

I love all the cute headbands that they have out there but they can be soo expensive, so I thought I would try my hand at making them myself! They didn't turn out to bad, I just think I need smaller elastic for Rylynn's little head!

 I also made this for all of her clips and headbands! I thought this would be a great idea because I love doing her hair ( I am just waiting for it to get a little longer then I can braid it :D) It is a great way to keep it all in one place so I know where they are! I am just trying to find a way to hang her ponytails from one of the hooks, I will eventually find a way.
I am re-addicted to pinterest and hoping to try out other things that I pinned when I find the time! I always tell my sister-in-law Jen that we need to have a pinterest day where we craft all the things we want on there. I will keep you guys posted if I try any more ideas!

We had a pretty uneventful day today! But later at night we went to visit our friends Jenny and Richard! They are expecting in March and we are very excited to plan many play-dates with them and their little one! I am starting to realize that I will be going back to work soon :(

Rylynn was baptized today! She did really well during the baptism and didn't even cry! She was not so good during church. She felt the need to poop (ALOT) during mass, so I had to leave church to change her so she wouldn't get it all over her cute dress! She wore the baptismal dress that I wore when I was a baby! She liked it when the water was poured over her head and also followed the candle after it was being lit! She was sort of over it after all of that and cried during the pictures because she was getting tired, but did not want to miss a thing! We got more pictures later at our house before we ate. I will post them later because I have nooo clue how to get just those pictures on the computer from Jeremy's camera ( I am not very computer savy!)

I am slightly trying to play catch-up because my laptop decided it will no longer connect to our wireless internet, so I don't get on here that much.

RYLYNN IS 2 MONTHS OLD!!
It is so hard to believe that it has been 2 months already. Rylynn had her 2 month check today and her shots :(

She did fairly well for her shots, she cried during them and fell asleep shortly after! She later became fussy, but seemed much better after getting Tylenol! She enjoys putting her hands in her mouth and that seemed to keep her content that night!

She is 22 inches long
Her head is 15 inches around
and her weight is 10lbs 1 oz.

She loves to be talked to and is starting to smile ALOT more! It is so cute in the morning because that is when she smiles the most. She loves being with mommy, especially during the day. She is the fussiest at night and then prefers mommy or daddy.In this picture below she is holding Jeremy's hand and any time he would let go she would wake up and cry!





She loves her bumbo seat and holds her head up very well!

Rylynn and I went to baby-sit with Auntie Jen and Cousin Mya for my nephew Cole. Cole is a very active little boy! We took him to the park and later went and watched a movie, while the kids were sleeping! Needless to say, I barely made it though the previews!

Today we took Rylynn's 1 month pictures. Since Jeremy has a nice camera, we decided to try them ourselves. I had my sister-in-law Jen come over to help me with them. I tried to get her to be sleeping to start the pictures, but as you know with a baby what you want and what you get are to very different things! She wanted nothing to do with sleeping or cooperating with us to much. But we did get quite a few pictures that turned out really well. Here are a few of my favorite ones.
This photo is where we decided to take a break with the pictures :D Jen and I went to pick up her kids from school, because usually the car puts Rylynn to sleep. She did sleep but soon woke up after we tried to move her! So cousin Madalyn held her until she fell asleep and Jeremy and I took some with her sleeping. Here are a few of my favorite ones of her sleeping.

August 30-Sept 3

This weekend we headed to Council Bluffs, Iowa to visit Jeremy's cousin Kyle and his family. We left Thursday night around 4pm, needless to say I was a little nervous Rylynn would not do well in the car because it was about a 5 hour drive. She surprised mom and did WONDERFUL! she got up once to eat and then not again until we got to Council Bluffs. On Friday we went to the world's largest furniture store in Omaha, Nebraska. The store was HUGE! Saturday, we headed back to Nebraska to have lunch with Jeremy's uncle and aunt. We also headed to the pedestrian bridge later in the day which is a very long walking bridge that goes from Council Bluffs to Omaha.
Saturday Rylynn was 1 month old. We took a few pictures at Kyle and Jessie's!

Norah and Lena (Kyle and Jessie's daughters) loved baby Rylynn. Norah (4yrs old) would say Lena (who is 2) wants me to hold the baby! Lena would say over and over "baby is cute" or "baby is sweet", it was SOO cute!

Sunday we went to Jeremy's other uncle and aunts for lunch. Jeremy was not feeling well ( a little hung over!) So we kept today pretty low key and stayed at his aunt and uncles for pretty much the whole day and watched some family videos of Jeremy's mom's family when they were kids. We ordered pizza at ate it in the park.

Monday we decided to go for a hike at hichcock forests ( I think that's what its called) which is where Jeremy's cousin Kyle works.



This is where Rylynn's mess all began. She pooped through her outfit in the middle of the hike, so she got to hike in the nude! It began to rain so we went back to Kyle and Jessie's and laid the girls down for a nap. During that time Jessie was holding Rylynn and again she pooped through outfit number 2! We headed back to New Ulm today. The ride went fairly well with Rylynn only crying for about 10 minutes of the ride. Outfit number 3 was peed on in the middle of the night!

August 4, 2012

Rylynn Mary Walters was born at 11:21 am.She weighed 7lbs 1.5oz and was 19 inches long. She had to stay an extra day in the hospital due to her increase in bilirubin, so she was jaundice. She stayed yellow colored for almost 2 weeks, but the doctor said that was pretty normal. I can't believe that we have a little girl and are starting our little family. I thought writing this blog would be a good way for me to keep everybody posted and a record of all of Rylynn's activities!
She loved to snuggle with daddy! I think she has daddy wrapped around her little finger!
